Trade Posts and some freebies

First off a Big Thank You to Casey over at Drop the Gloves , He sent my son Kyle a nice package of cards containing ....I'm not sure. Yankees were in their but it was such a surprise to him that he immediately put them in his box of favorites. I work nights so I wasn't able to exactly see which ones they were. So I apologize ( I wanted to post them ) to Casey and Thank you at the same time.

As far as trading goes , I was able to get Chunter over at Chipp 'n' Dale to take some Chipper Jones off my hands. He sent a very nice package including these:

The Thurman Munson stole the show for Kyle.He wants to get as many Munsons as he can. Chunter sent a team set of the Bruins  , for photo purposes , I substituted these which we already had and TTm'd which Chara happened to show up in our mailbox for Kyle recently. Many Thanks to Chunter for the awesome trade.

Group Break and Card show relics

First up is a Group break that Spankee  had months ago. I took the Padres and Pirates hoping for the best. My " HIT " card happened to be this
A  Dave Winfield jersey card from the 2004 Celebrity All - Star game.

The Sunday card show allowed us to pick up these

A UD Manny and a Topps Ryan Howard game used Bat card.

UD Masterpieces Roy Halladay jersey relic along with a Dick Trickle auto.

ALL THE ABOVE ARE UP FOR TRADE
Other card show pick ups

The Kemp can be up for trade. My son will have to give the OK on that.

Thanks for reading and keep up with all the good reading for me on your blogs as well..

Housecleaning and Christmas Loot

I may be biting off a little more than I can chew with this but here goes. Kyle and I have gone through some of our stacks and boxes and have a lot of commons and stars available for trade. I'm not sure how to do this other than to throw it out there. My thought was to go through the existing sites that I frequent and come across ,  and look at want lists and individual PC's then send an email to said blogger for interest in trading.
But for those who I may miss , I am going to throw some names and teams out there of who we have.If you have any interest by all means please comment with who you are looking for or team for that matter.
We have some Chipper Jones , Sammy Sosas , Mark McGwire , Randy Johnson , Tony Gwynns , Astros , Padres , Cardinals , A-Rods , A's , Kerry Woods , Expos , Yeah  I may have gone overboard here , Maybe best if you leave a comment and i can get back to you with what I have. I did come across a lot of  yu gi go
cards that were given to me. I had a friend look through them and was told some are of value. How much , well I guess I wont know till I speak to someone who wants to trade for them.
Kyle is looking for baseball cards. Specifically Yankees or Doc Gooden. Kyle is actively pursuing his cards. His latest is this auto.

Santa was pretty good to Kyle this year. Knowing his love for Star Wars , he gave Kyle this Awesome card

Justin " Jedi " Masterson.

.Being a Dolphins fan I never imagined buying anything Buffalo Bills related but to see the smile on his face when opening these , I came out ahead.

Thanks for stopping by and please leave me a comment if you wish a player or team.( or a better idea )

MasterPieces Update

As stated back in this post I have an appreciation for the Masterpieces cards. So much so that I am attempting to collect as many cards as I can. Maybe one day I will end up with a set or two. But what may surprise you , the reader , is that some I actually mail away to different people. WHAT ?? This card you hold so close to you , you actually send it off , all alone ? Yes I do and this is why.

I wrote Mr Sims Back in August and It was in my mailbox on December 20th. "Kung Fu Billy Sims" played college football for the University of Oklahoma, where he was a two-time consensus All-American, and won the Heisman Trophy in 1978. He was the first overall pick in the 1980 NFL Draft, and played professionally for the NFL's Detroit Lions. His career came to an end after what is described as a catastrophic knee injury.

My next card went to Mr. Frank Reich ,  whom i sent in August and received in November.

Mr Reich who was a back up most of his career to Jim Kelly , Has the honor of having led the Bills to the largest comeback in NFL history ( and if you notice , this card is depicted from that game ). He managed to recover from a 32 point deficit to lead the Bills to a win.
In 1995 , Reich was picked from the Bill in the expansion draft where he played for the Panthers and then moved on to the Jets and Lions.

Thanks for reading and I hope to be more involved in my blog than recent weeks.( months )
